Below, her ideas for affordable family fun:
Go Hiking

Zoo and “Trista and Ryan Sutter took their kids to the aquarium this summer and they loved it!” says Denay. “It’s perfect for kids of any age.” Plus, you may spark a new passion for your brood. “Naomi Watts recently said her son is obsessed with animals,” says Denay.

“Kids love to see the transformation from seeds to fruits and veggies they can pick and eat. It gives them a sense of pride and excitement,” says Denay. (This is one of Biggest Loser host Alison Sweeney’s fave activities to do with her son, Ben.) Bonus: “You are more likely to get them to eat their veggies if they grow them themselves!” Too cold outside to garden? “Create an indoor picnic no matter what time of year,” suggests Denay. “Place a blanket in the living room wholesale and outlet online set it up.
